IBM Blue Pages Directory
is a standalone JAVA desktop utility that searches database information to enable communications throughout IBM, quickly and with a minimum of training.
While the idea of "training" to use a phone directory may seem exaggerated, the legacy system that Blue Pages replaced was an engineering "green-screen" solution that required mastering a substantial learning curve to master.

This prototype interface design was based using the original green screen categories of choice and reflects corporate idioms of use that would not ordinarily be accomodated on such a device. Corporate reporting chains, who manages whom, Lotus Notes ID, who is in a person's managerial unit and the like are represented and are direct descendants of the original green screen process.
